In the DRC, at least each province has a medical training institution, if not more. Thousands of new students are recruited each year, while hundreds are poured into the job market, which is apparently saturated.
A survey of an exhaustive non-probabilistic sample made up of 52 learners from the midwifery sector at the Gemena istm revealed some reefs between vocation and social constraints which govern the choice of option by the learners and to establish a reconciliation between the two. Our life, our professional career is sometimes completely sealed by the choice we make.

Le marché de l’emploi devient à ces jours de plus en plus concurrentiel et de plus en plus exigeant. Question d’opérer un choix judicieux entre sa vocation et les contraintes sociales en vue d’éviter un conflit contre soi-même (autosatisfaction) mais aussi répondre aux exigences sociétales. En RDC, au moins chaque province dispose d’une institution de formation médicale, si ce n’est pas plus. Chaque année, le recrutement des nouveaux étudiants se fait par milliers alors que des centaines sont déversés sur le marché d’emploi, qui pourtant, affiche apparemment saturé. Une enquête auprès d’un échantillon non probabiliste exhaustif composé de 52 apprenants de la filière sage-femme à l’istm Gemena a permis de relevé quelques récifs entre la vocation et les contraintes sociales lesquels président au choix de l’option par les apprenants et d’en établir un rapprochement entre les deux. Notre vie, notre carrière professionnelle étant parfois totalement scellé par le choix que nous opérons.
